CLASSES:  Spec 10 - Legend 2s – HCOT Legends – Legend Breakout - Pan Car breakout – 21.5 Pan Truck - Sprints

$40 to run as many classes as you want

FRIDAY:  Pit setup and practice 10:00A – 9:00PM / SATURDAY:  Practice, Heats & Mains 8:00AM – 9:00PM - (Heats start at 11:30)

3 Heats of qualifying  /  Lower mains will be 50 laps with 7 cars including the 1 bump up  /  75 lap A Mains;  Spec10 A Main is 100 laps / 1 bump from every main

 Trophies for: Class TQ, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, best appearing car & Ironman award.  Ironman goes to the person who runs the most classes (Tiebreaker: Best avg finish.)

Spec10

Class Rules — Spec-10 Mafia

HCOT Legends 2024/2025

Legend – 1.0: This HCOT Class will continue to be open to all racers during the 2024/2025 Season, this continues to be a “have fun class”, you will be racing with all levels of ability including young children, please try to remember this when cars are being bumped around. :)

Legend – 2.0: This class will use the R/C Legend National Rule set found at http://rjspeed.com/rjspeed/2010rules.pdf (With Noted Exceptions Below)

The following exceptions apply to HCOT, turn buckles may be used for steering links and battery will be the any open 1s, properly installed receiver packs are permitted, red wire must be removed from ESC receiver connector if not required to power ESC. See Legend Rule 4 for tire exception.

Legend – 2.1: All added stick on weight must be applied inside of side frame rails.

Legend – 3: Hobbywing Justock 25.5 Locked Timing Motor: P/N 30408013. Open Gearing

Legend –4 ESC: Hobbywing Justock Speed Control ONLY P/N 30112000, 30112003 81020000, 81020011 30112751

Legend – 5: Tires: Any striped spec tire can be used. You may now also use the new CRC rubber tire/wheel combo as well

Legend—6. Bearings are allowed.

Legend - 7: The spirit of this class is to have fun, contact is expected.

Legend – 8: On all tracks over 100ft run line the heats will be 6 cars and mains will be 8 cars, any car counts only 1 over these limits will be up to the race director on how to split up the heats/mains.

Legend – 9: Minimum Weight 34 oz. and please note measurements in the national rule set above.

Legends- 10: All heats and mains will be the 4 minutes or otherwise posted prior to event. Heats are IFMAR and Mains are heads up.

LEGENDS (2s) (SIRCS Rules)

Chassis

  1. Bolink Legend, RJ Speed Legend kit (RJ Speed) or TK Racing Myth kits only (TK Racing).

  2. Servo can be mounted in any location in the front of car.

  3. No shaving any of the chassis or drilling holes to reduce weight.

  4. Only Bolink Legend, RJ Speed Legends or TK Racing chassis parts can be used.

  5. Bearings are legal to use.

  6. Turnbuckles are ok to be used for steering linkage only.

  7. Spec Gearing. Only an 81-tooth spur and 21-tooth pinion or lower.  48 pitch gears only.

  8. Any pan car front spring.

  9. Factory front bumper must remain on car.

  10. Rear Axle: RJ Speed steel axle part # RJS-5730

  11. Can substitute similar TK Racing or RJ Speed parts.

  12. All parts must be available for purchase from the RJ Speed website or TK Racing Facebook page.

  13. No printed parts.  No side trays for weight.

Body

  1. Only RJ Speed full fender legends bodies are legal.

  2. No scraping of the body or drilling holes in the chassis to reduce weight.

  3. Must use RJ Speed Legend body cut on the cut lines. 

  4. Windows must remain intact.

  5. Body post/mount holes must be punched in the factory marked hole locations. 

Tires

  1. Blue, purple or yellow stripe spec tire or rubber CRC tires are the only legal tires

Electronics

  1. Any steering servo can be used.

  2. Any esc can be used in blinky mode.

  3. Gravity USGT 21.5 motor.  (Motiv Gravity RC USGT 21.5 Spec Motor (45 deg Fixed Timing SKU GRC2010) MUST BE MOUNTED ON THE RIGHT SIDE.

  4. Any ROAR Legal 2 cell Lipo battery max 5200 Mah

BREAKOUT LEGENDS

  1. Chassis: All cars must run either a Bolink Legend, RJ Speed Legend kit (RJ Speed) or TK Racing Myth kit (TK Racing)

  2. Body: Must run a Legend body. No cutting of body to expose wheels

  3. ESC/Battery: 1s or 2s combo is legal. ROAR approved

  4. Tires: Foam or rubber tires are legal

  5. Rear Axle: RJ Speed steel axle part # RJS-5730

BREAKOUT PAN CAR

  1. Chassis: Must run either an RJ Speed (RJ Speed) or TK Racing Pan Car chassis (TK Racing).

  2. Body: Any body that covers all 4 wheels is legal.

  3. ESC/Battery: 1s or 2s combo is legal. ROAR approved

  4. Tires: Foam or rubber tires are legal

  5. Rear Axle: RJ Speed steel axle part # RJS-5730

21.5 PAN TRUCK

  1. Chassis: Must be either an RJ Speed (RJ Speed) or TK Racing G-Code pan car kit (TK Racing).

  2. Body: Any TOUR approved truck body. Body must be cut along body lines and cover all wheels.

  3. Rear Pod: Must us rear pod that comes with the kit

  4. Front end: Stock front end is NOT mandatory. You can use any front end.

  5. Motor: Gravity USGT 21.5 motor.  (Motiv Gravity RC USGT 21.5 Spec Motor (45 deg Fixed Timing SKU GRC2010) MUST BE MOUNTED ON THE RIGHT SIDE.

  6. ESC: ROAR approved. Must be in blinky

  7. Battery: 2s, ROAR approved

  8. Tires: Foam

  9. Rear Axle: RJ Speed steel axle part # RJS-5730

  10. Gearing: Open

 ​SPRINT CARS

​ Chassis/body

  1. Only Spec10 sprint kit RJ Speed kit part #:  RJS2033 (RJ Speed)

  2. One or three piece RJ Speed front end is legal.  NO OFFSET FRONT END IS ALLOWED.

  3. No shimming of the front arms or kingpins is allowed.

  4. Stock bushings are to be used in both the front tires and the rear axle. NO BEARINGS ARE ALLOWED.

  5. No cutting or shaving of the chassis to reduce weight.

  6. The only legal springs are the RJ Speed #5228 red or yellow springs shipped with the kit or the TK Racing red springs.

  7. Only stock RJ Speed parts are allowed other than TK Racing steering blocks, TK Racing springs and TK Racing Fatbar kit.

  8. Crossbraces must be mounted in the exact locations as specified in the build instructions.  Except for the bar in the lower front of the battery tray to allow the servo to be mounted under the battery tray.

  9. Turnbuckles are allowed for steering linkage. 

  10. No wings on the cars.

  11. It is legal to use the TK Racing "battery hold down" (part # TK-2020106) to make it easier to mount battery.


Tires
1. Any yellow, purple or blue striped spec foam tire.


Electronics

  1. Any servo can be used.

  2. Any roar approved 2s lipo with a max of 5200 mah.

  3. Hobbywing Justock 17.5 Justock motor/esc combo. (XR10 JUSTOCK COMBO (G3 ESC + G2.1 Motor; SKU:  38020321;  Motor part #:  30408006).  MOTOR MUST BE MOUNTED ON THE RIGHT SIDE.

  4. Motors cannot be opened or adjusted from factory specs.  This means no changing to ceramic bearings or going to a non-stock rotor.
